Basic cooking knowledge and knife skills are preferred.
The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and the willingness to respond positively to criticism are necessary.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar post
At least 2 years of experience in a 4-5 stars hotel
Possess the ability to quickly and authoritatively delegate job tasks to a the staff
Very good planning and directing food preparation
Ability to sort out the problems that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment’s notice.
Calm under Pressure.
Strong personal integrity and honesty.
Team Player. Able to listen, communicate, and work well with people.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and verbally communicates effectively and professionally with other business departments, management, guests, and vendors.

Knowledge & Competencies

Ability to handle food properly.
Consistently monitor quality of food & beverage being served
Communication skill preferably in English, other language such as Arabic is an advantage
Good Customer-Service skills.
Ability to disseminate information accurately.
Money-Management skills -tracking tips, gathering t he customer’s checks and providing change. They must also know how to maintain a cash register drawer.
Must know how to coordinate with other staff to get the orders to the customers in a timely manner.
Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment
Document completion utilizing both opening and closing checklists.
